Global Innovation Conference Osaka 2013

Osaka City is presently initiating a project named “Global Innovation City” to attract capital, technology and talent from around the world. The project will be launched with an inaugural Global Innovation Conference in Osaka.

Existing industries are being restructured and new products, services, and industry sectors are being created by the rapid evolution of information and communication technologies. Cloud computing, real-time processing, 3D technologies, etc. are digitizing whole industrial processes.

New development and commercialization pathways are emerging around Open Source software and hardware alternatives.

The conference will include a keynote on “World Innovation” from a leading Silicon Valley entrepreneur.

Panel discussions will include business and technology experts who are driving and being directly impacted by the trends and transformations. Conference attendees will be invited to participate in the active discussions, especially regarding implications for Japanese industry over the next 10 years.
