Although it is a well-known fact that Silicon Valley is the place where leading innovation occur, the whole world is now beginning to set up individual environment for innovation creation in each place making the most of their own assets such as industry and human resources, not just imitating the pioneer.
In our conference program, we will introduce ecosystem building activities in various areas with their latest trends, and discuss what Osaka can learn from what they focus on to pursue global innovation having their strong point and weakness.

Spotify is the world’s largest music streaming service with 50m users worldwide. Hannes, who joined the company in early 2011, was previously responsible for Spotify’s headquarter operations, based in Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to Spotify, he managed a variety of global brands at Procter & Gamble.
Khailee Ng is Managing Partner at 500 Startups. His focus areas include global expansion, managing the Southeast Asian fund, and building bridges between emerging markets and Silicon Valley.
Born and raised in Malaysia, he started creating web products at age 15. By the age of 30, he built a news company SAYS.com (now listed in the Malaysian stock exchange as REV Asia) and e-commerce company GroupsMore (acquired by Groupon). Ari is an entrepreneur with strong leadership skills and a passionate focus on supporting female tech startup founders. Tim is a Tokyo-based innovator, author, and entrepreneur who has started several companies since coming to Japan in 1994. Tim is deeply involved in Japan’s startup community as a writer, investor and mentor, and hosts the Disrupting Japan podcast.
Tim was former Japan Representative Director of Engine Yard, the world’s leading cloud application management company, which enables developers to innovate more rapidly, easily and cost effectively.
Serial entrepreneur & startup accelerator. Started Internet related business in the late 1990 and participated in the establishment of Web crew Inc.(Listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers in 2004) and co-founded and became the CEO of Interscope, Inc. (sold off to Yahoo! JAPAN in 2007). Then turned as an accelerator and co-founded SunBridge Global Ventures Inc. in 2012.
