With the theme of "Future Society (abundant, secure and sustainable society)", we are calling out to domestic and international startups with business plans that mainly focus on "next-generation mobility" and "infrastructure (maximizing efficiency of existing infrastructure as well as next-generation infrastructure including telecommunications, etc.)".

*The event is held as a part of the Global Innovation Conference, Hack Osaka 2022. The schedule is subject to change depending on the progress of the conference.
*Award ceremony will be held after 16:30.
*We will invite all the presenting startups to the business meetings where we provide matching services co-organized with Osaka Prefecture between Japanese and foreign startups and major corporations in Osaka/Kansai region.
As to the time and day, it's being coordinated on Tuesday, February 8th and Wednesday, February 9th, 2022.

After the application screening based on these perspectives, 10 companies will be selected to present on stage at Hack Award 2022 on February 10th, 2022.
Only qualified startups will be notified via e-mail in mid November 2021. We will not disclose any screening results or comments.
Presenting startups are required to record and submit a video of themselves pitching in English by mid December 2021.
・Pitch videos submitted by the presenting startups will be played on the day of Hack Award 2022.
・Each startup will have 5 minutes for pitch.
・Each startup will have about 3 minutes for Q&A. Judges (VC, accelerator, serial entrepreneur, etc.) watched the pitch videos from the presenting startups and put together a list of questions. Hack Osaka's secretariat receives the list of questions and notifies each startup individually (currently scheduled for early January). Each startup then submits a response video to the Hack Osaka office (currently scheduled for late January).
・The judges will evaluate the pitch and Q&A from the presenting startups, and award the top startups accordingly.
・Presenting startups will be notified of details such as the filming environment and submission deadline for the pitch video and Q&A at a later date.
・Movies of Hack Award event will be available online in the archive section from February 10th, 2022 (for the limited period).
※The Kansai region has an approximate area of 33,000km² and an estimated population of 23 million people. Osaka is the metropolis of the Kansai region. The Kansai region also has big cities including Kyoto and Kobe along with other surrounding areas, and it is a home to a number of large companies, small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, leading Universities and research institutions.
