【Product Development】 CoCreation Jam Course-A with COCOROBO Collaboration with “SHARP” to develop world-changing product from Osaka!!

“CoCreation Jam” is an event to produce original electronic devices and applications software working with cloud computing system and the designate products. This event aims to create unprecedented new service and value based on the products which are provided by private companies.

This “CoCreation Jam” is a collaborative project with Sharp Corporation. City of Osaka has been making various efforts, including “Mono-App-Hackathon”, to create global innovation. Sharp Corporation approves the purpose of those efforts of City of Osaka, and decided to provide their home appliances product as themes of “CoCreation Jam”. (Two kinds of home electronic appliances by Sharp Corporation will be given as themes for this time, Course A and Course B have one theme each. These two events will be held successively.)

The aim of Course A is to produce electronic device working with robotic appliance COCOROBO, which proposes unprecedented new service and value. For excellent product, there will be a possibility of continuous development for the market incorporation with Sharp Corporation.

If you are seeking a possibility of new manufacturing business, taking an interest in making electrical works with open source hardware, etc, or developing Web system, why not try generating new values with Sharp Corporation home appliance products, your unique view, ideas and technology?

Excellent team selected on November 17th is to participate in the joint presentation meeting to be held on December 8th together with Course B team.
(Participation of members from non-selected teams is optional.)

Program

Each team develops original gadgets (electronic device) to work with COCOROBO(RX-V100-W, manufactured by Sharp Corporation)through internet connection according to the theme provided on the first day of this event.

  • ※ Excellent team will be selected based on evaluations by multiple judges.
  • ※ A Sharp corporation product is expected to be awarded to excellent team as the extra prize.
  • ※ Excellent team selected on November 17th is to participate in the joint presentation meeting to be held on December 8th together with Course B team.(Participation of Course A members from non-selected teams is optional.)
  • ※ Excellent team is supposed to continue their development for refinement until the day of joint presentation meeting.(No restriction of place and time.)
  • ※ During refinement period as above, technical guidance of Sharp Corporation is available.
